If you like the factory look when you’re not towing, this setup keeps it that way. The invisible design leaves no obtrusive crossbar or bulky brackets up front, and the tabs stay on your tow bar arms instead of sticking out from the bumper. Each receiver has a snap-in polyethylene cover that keeps dirt and debris out, so the arms stay clean and slide in easily when it’s time to hook up again.
When you’re getting ready to tow, each arm slides into the base plate, twists to lock, and secures with the included pull pin. It’s quick, solid, and easy to manage even on your own. I have a Jeep Gladiator 2024 model. This was an easy install for people that don’t have a lift. There is no drilling needed and fits right on. The air dam is a different story and don’t be shy about cutting out the holes needed to put the pin connector thru so the air dam will fit well back on the unit. The patterns that came with the kit is a good starting point.
Cross bar is hidden
The finished product looks great, it took a lot longer to install than the video but I am happy with the result. The instructions for cutting the holes didn't work well and I had to increase the holes and move them over as they didn't fully line up. I also had to make a relief cut to help the part that the bracket hit. Also make sure you put on the metal plate that holds the plastic shield on prior to putting the bumper on and tightening the tow bar down. Aligning the holes is "fun".... after 4 times taking the bumper off it all worked. Getting the plastic rivets on the underside back on requires the use of many "Special" words.... But it looks great after, and I am looking forward to using it.
The box arrived damaged but at least all the parts were still there. It was pretty straight forward to install , maybe took about 1.5hrs to install

After watching etrailer video for installation, it was fairly easy, no drilling of the frame and all necessary hardware bolted correctly. I like the way it tucks under the frame and doesn't stick out much, thus why it's the "invisible base plate kit".
Took 3 of us to install. But have over 3600 miles with its use. All ok. And even though it was labor intensive to install I am very happy with the bracket.

Just great product. 3 friends and a lot of laughter put this on my 2021 Jeep in about 3 hours. It has been working really fine. I was concerned about the Alum Attachment Tabs, But they have worked really fine. And the install IO leave them on all the time.
Good concise installation instructions and tows smoothly with no issues.
I received the Base Plate Kit with everything needed. I did the install myself, took my time and had no problems. The video provided by etrailer was a huge help!!! I'm impressed at how well the video matched the actual installation. Good Stuff!!!!
The cut outs for the removable arms were.a little to small.
This was my second time installing a base plate kit. I have to say, this etrailer base plate was so much easier to install compared to my other base plate that required drilling, which was not fun at all. I would highly recommend the etrailer baseplate kit. No drilling was required and everything lined up perfectly. The install videos provided are also great.
Completed installation by myself. Cutting the holes in the air damn was the worse part. Just need a drill and multitool.

Relatively easy install. Double check the skid plate templates. I had to change mine significantly, not just holes but slots from the top all the way to the bottom of the towbar. In the end, they look great they install well. Very nice system.

I like the fact that this base plate is hidden behind the air dam below the bumper.
Install of the baseplate itself was not difficult and went smooth. The templates to cut out the holes in my plastic shroud were not accurate. It took some additional trimming to get right and I found that a bit frustrating.
The baseplate fit great, fairly simple and install. The instructions from the front valance cutting were off a bit. I had to take it on and off a couple of times and trim to get it to fit. Overall the quality is great.
Installation on a 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited Sahara went well, no surprises. Attaching the base plate to chassis safety cables required some ingenuity as the instructions were useless in this installation. Etrailer should post some actual installation photos vs. a poor generic diagram.
Very easy to install and I love the finished look. However I had to cut a couple of relief points in the rock guard in order to get the back two screws into place. Without these the rock guard would bind against these points on the base plate and not allow the rock guard to travel back far enough to reattached the screws. I have a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Sahara.
Came very well packaged, looked great very well made and heavy duty.
Instructions could have been better.
Template for air dam cutout just a rough starting point you will need to do more trimming for proper fit. Overall very happy looks great and very solid.
